FAQ
Common questions about buy-side advisory
What is buy-side M&A advisory?
Buy-side advisory is independent advice for the person or company buying a business. Strativiz helps you set acquisition criteria, find and screen targets, run due diligence, value the business and negotiate price and terms. We work only for the buyer, so our advice is never shaped by the need to close a deal.
How is a buy-side advisor different from a business broker?
A business broker usually represents the seller and is paid when a sale completes. A buy-side advisor represents you, the buyer. Our job is to help you make a sound decision, and sometimes that means advising you to renegotiate or walk away.
Can you help if I already have a target business in mind?
Yes. You can engage us for the full buy-side process or only the part you need. Many buyers come to us with a target already in view and ask for independent due diligence and a valuation view before they commit.
What does your due diligence cover?
Financial, operational and commercial diligence: quality of earnings, customer concentration, owner dependency, working capital, and systems and controls. Every finding is linked to price, structure and terms, so you negotiate from evidence.
Do you work with first-time buyers?
Yes. We work with people buying their first business and with investors and operators making their next acquisition. For first-time buyers, we start by turning your goals, capital and strengths into a clear acquisition thesis.
Is what I share with you kept confidential?
Yes. We treat everything you share as confidential, whether or not you engage us.
